Free call service project "Hello Doctor Ben"
“Hello Doctor Ben” free call service program has been implemented by Ujas Charitable Trust Power of Nutrition and Consumer Goods Company Unilever with an aim to improve sanitation and reduce malnutrition in Baniskantha district. Under this program, the work of promoting hand washing with soap and nutrition will be carried forward through the use of mobile technology. The project will focus on reducing malnutrition by reaching 1.35 million pregnant women and mothers in the state.
Across the state, the program is being launched in Banaskantha and Chhota Udepur districts. After that the program will be extended in 10 districts of the state. A pilot project of “Hello Doctor Ben” free call service program has been started at Dhanera in Banaskantha district. As part of this, a meeting was held at the Executive Hall, District Panchayat under the guidance of District Development Officer Swapnil Khare. In which this project was demonstrated and information was given along with the outline and guidance of the project. The use of technology to reach important beneficiaries with an intelligent approach to improve sanitation and reduce malnutrition was appreciated by all present.
“Hello Doctor Ben” free call service project can convey the message of basic health care and hygiene to pregnant women or new parents for healthy life of their babies. Also, through this program, important information about health and hygiene of parents and children in rural areas can be delivered to their mobile phones free of charge at their convenience and from anywhere
